Fall Trees

This is a project that I used to do every year. I found my sample and decided to do them this year. I was so happy I made that decision, they came out beautiful. I did them with fourth grade. We made the tissue paper collage background one week, and then added the tree with oil pastels the next. We were able to review our shading to make things look three dimensional.

What a great project for fall. The shading on the trees does give them a wonderful realistic quality.I'm going to have to "pin" this one. Thanks!

Thanks!
I have them color in from the light side of the tree to the dark with white, yellow, yellow orange, brown and black. We then go over it all with brown. They go back in with black and white to add the highlights and textures.
